Join us for the ultimate full-day adventure, where history and wine blend seamlessly in a one-day excursion around Barcelona. This experience is perfect for those who crave both cultural exploration and a taste of traditional gastronomy! Spend a full day immersing yourself in the region's vibrant wine culture, heritage, and traditions, starting with the awe-inspiring Montserrat Monastery, set against the backdrop of stunning Mediterranean vineyards and local wineries.
Throughout the day, enjoy the personal feel of our small group setting. Led by an English-speaking local guide from Castlexperience, you'll have plenty of time to discover the beauty of the Montserrat massif, both with your guide and independently, to soak in its breathtaking views and spiritual essence. No matter which option you choose, you'll have a chance to acces the throne of the Virgin Mary and listen to the Boy's Choir (tickets and availability for both activities must be checked at Montserrat's website).
Next, you’ll visit a family-owned, boutique winery nestled in a 10th-century castle that has remained in the same family for 36 generations! Here, you’ll experience local Catalan and Spanish traditions, indulge in a multi-course meal made from regional ingredients, tour the estate, and enjoy a tasting of three distinct D.O. Pla de Bages wines. All this, framed by the rolling vineyards and centuries of history, promises a day you’ll never forget!
Don't know which option to choose? The only question you need to ask yourself when deciding is whether you prefer to have two and a half hours of free time in Montserrat (departure option at 8:45) or if you'd rather sacrifice one hour of free time in exchange for sleeping an extra hour and enjoying the scenic views of the cogwheel train (departure option at 9:45). There's no wrong answer!
