If not arranged differently, we will first set route to the Colònia Güell, a modernist industrial colony where Gaudí was hired to build a church. He only got to build the crypt and the lower parts before the project was cancelled, but what remains makes up for one of his masterpieces, and a very little visited one. This Gaudí unknown gem lies at the gates of a highly recognised wine making region, the Do Penedès, where almost all the Catalan cava is produced. Characteristically close to our Mediterranean sea, this region is filled with small production focused, family owned wineries. Our local guides are experts in the history of wine production in Penedès and will tell you everything there is to know about the characteristics of this particular region and the kind of wine and cava produced in it.

Depending on your choice, you will visit one or two of the intimate and exclusive wineries we are partnered with, making it a half day or a full day. We can also personalize the lunch format, choosing either to pair some traditional Spanish tapas with the best cavas in the region or sitting at a local restaurant to have a full meal. We will pick the cellars that best meet your needs, always prioritizing those with inspiring background and history to tell. In some of the wineries we feel so much at home that it will be your very guide who will take you through the facilities and unveil all the secrets privately, while in others a local expert will take charge of hosting you. Of course, you will enjoy a private tasting of their most exclusive wines and/or cava (tell us which you prefer!) in any of the wineries we take you to.
