Stunning ridges of mountain Visočica rise above the canyon of River rakitnica, one of the deepest, longest and least explored canyons in Europe. While hiking on the top of a narrow ridge you can enjoy views on surrounding mountains Bjelašnica, Treskavica and Prenj.

TRIP HIGHLIGHTS AND DESCRIPTION

Stunning narrow ridges Rakitnica river canyon Scenic views

After we gather up in Sarajevo we will take 1,5 hours drive to mountain Visočica. On our way we will pass through 1984 Olympic ski resort and have a few opportunities to stop and take photos of beautiful landscapes.

When we reach Tušila village, our starting point, we will enter the trail and start climbing to the Vito peak. The last section before the peak will be steep but it will be worth it since the view from the top is just amazing. We will have a picnic lunch there so you have enough time to enjoy the view.

After we are done with food and our energy is back we can continue our hike on top of the ridge to Drstva peak, and from there we will start descending back to the Tušila village, right where we started.
